Ari Hultqvist hired as new General Manager of Vera Lif
Ari Hultqvist has been hired as the General Manager of Vera Lif, a wholesaler of organically produced foods, cosmetics and toiletries. Ari originally joined Vera Lif in 2008. The Board of Directors will be unchanged and they are Bjorn Johannesson and Hrefna Osp Sigfinnsdottir. |

Bjorn Kristjan Arnarson has been hired as the General Manager of Yggdrasill, a wholesaler of organically produced foods, cosmetics and toiletries. Bjorn originally joined Yggdrasill in 2008. The Board of Directors will be unchanged and they are Bjorn Johannesson and Hrefna Osp Sigfinnsdottir.
A new private equity fund, Bjorg, has been established. The fund is 100% owned by Sparisjodabanki Islands. Bjorg has an investment management agreement with Arev Securities hf.
The current CEO of Emmessís and one of its shareholders, Snorri Sigurðsson, has resigned from his post. Snorri will remain on the Board along with representatives for other shareholders of Emmessís, which include Arev NI, a private equity fund, and employees of the company. The Board has hired Bodvar Thorisson as the new CEO.
Arev NI, a private equity fund, has acquired the additional 50% of Yggdrasill, a company specialising in organic food stuffs, from its founders, Runar Sigurkarlsson and Hildur Gudmundsdottir. This transaction results in a 100% ownership of Yggdrasill by Arev NI. Founded in 1986.
